Not many pictures today. We spent the morning weighing coaches with our newly reworked scales. The first pass at the scales was done by Frank Condos and they worked but we discovered a couple of problems using them at the Casa de Fruta rally in April. Manny Trovao of transmission fame volunteered to modify the scales and incorporate changes we discovered we needed at Casa. We calibrated the scales using Manny's new platforms and they worked great but we learned some more for the next time we use them at the Spring rally in 2013. We weighed 16 coaches this time and the results will be posted in a few days.
We spent the afternoon visiting each other's coaches open houses. The local club, the Great Mountain Classics, have several members who have never been to a rally before - they meet weekly in a local restaurant most of the time - there were some very interested visitors. It is fun to show off our coaches and to learn from others.
We had a really good turnkey dinner this evening - a really early start to this year's holiday season of eating. The evening's entertainment was a jam session with Steve Ferguson, Les Watson, and Beth Elmer and a couple of the park residents who performed for us last night. It was great fun.
