I want to say a special thank you to Marc and Lillian Trubert for the work they have done on the newsletter over the past four and a half years. In addition they have been most generous with their aid and advice to help me get up and running in the job as newsletter editor. They have made the transition as easy as possible for me, so I have not had to reinvent the wheel. They even offered to come to Prescott to help put out the first issue! Now that's dedication! Thank you, Marc and Lillian. Judy Cherry
For those of us who live in the dry western states this year, the weather in Cody welcomed us with cooling moisture. Even though we were sometimes a bit damp around the edges those first two days, it felt good and it wasn't hard to live with. It just eased us into the fall weather we knew was coming anyway. That first evening, the appetizer supper was a real success. The variety of food available was truly amaz-ing, and I don't think anyone left hungry. There was plenty of fresh fruit and veggies as well as a wide variety of little rolled sandwiches, pizza snacks, egg rolls, hot wings, and much more. It was different from the usual potluck and a lot of fun to eat your way around inside the tent, greeting friends and meeting new folks. After supper, campground handyman Lelan Tucker shared his wonderful voice with us as he sang from the porch of the campground office. He performed many of the old country music standards in the style of their original artists. The next night we were entertained by the Whitlock Girls, two sisters, twelve and thirteen, who perform country/pop music. They charmed us all. We hope they can stay as fresh and unspoiled as they are. It was a real treat to watch them. Freddi led her morning fitness walks each day. Non-technical seminars included decorated t-shirts by Fay Curtis, roses fashioned from dollar bills by Connie Sapp, the benefits and perks of FMCA membership by Fay Curtis, and problem solving for the non mechani-cally oriented with Fay. Of course the Jokers and Marbles and Dominoes crews were busy every chance they got. Everyone enjoyed the sessions they attended. On Sunday, Sept. 8th a large group of GMCers took the bus to Yellowstone Park for the day, and later in the day another group did a float trip on the Shoshone River. Those who stayed in town found many things to do with shopping downtown and at Sierra Trading Post and seeing the five beautiful museums at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. You couldn't do the Historical Center justice with just one visit. There was just too much to see. Everyone seemed to have his/her favorite mu-seum. For some it was the Western Art Museum, for others it was the Firearms Museum, and still others preferred the Indian Museum or the Natural History Museum. It is a smorgasbord for the eyes and mind. On Monday, Sept.
9th we all went downtown to the historic Irma Hotel, named after
Buffalo Bill's daughter, for a delicious buffet dinner. We were
treated to a shootout skit in the street outside the hotel afterwards.
The highlight of the coach Open House was Sara and Evan Robinson's newly redone coach. (Remember that Sara did the interior design seminar at the Mariposa Rally?) It even has a little dishwasher under the sink! Be sure to see it when you have a chance.

A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers who gave us a hand at the Cody Roundup. It was your help that made this event a success. When GMCers get together we always have a good time. That was the main reason we hosted this roundup, and we knew all would enjoy the Cody area. A special thanks goes to Claude Brousson, Freddi and Frank Condos, and Carol and Frank Gray for their support. Being a host at a roundup makes you feel like you belong to a big family. Thanks to all who attended the roundup. You are the ones who make the work worthwhile. We had a great time doing this roundup, and we would encourage others to jump in and JUST DO IT! John and Ginny

During our Cody rally, Don Chapman of Omaha, NE attended and took videos of the coaches and many of the seminars and other activities as well as some great shots of Yellowstone and other Cody attractions. Don has edited this down into a very professional 15 minute program. He is offering them in both VCR tape format for $19.95 plus $4.00 shipping and on a DVD for $29.95 plus $3.00 shipping. I have a copy of this and it is really great. It has all the presenters at the Tech. seminars and even has Arch by his now famous blender!!! Don can be contacted
at his email address: dbchap@earthlink.net or by phone at: Don has professional equipment and this video is indeed a work of art. Don plans to do this at other rallies and also in interested in making future videos of maintenance and repair such as wheel bearing and knuckle replacement and other such things. Emery Stora I can second Emery's sentiments here. I think that anyone who attended the Cody Rally would enjoy the video. It made me feel I was back there again. Judy Cherry
