How to make a pieced fabric fan for your sewing project
1. Cut strips from 6-8 different 45-inch fabrics, varying the cut widths from 1 ¼" to 2 ¼". Cut each strip across the fabric width - selvage to selvage.
2. Select your color arrangement and sew strips together using ¼" seams. Press seams in one direction. The finished piece should measure approximately 12-14" x 45".
3. It takes a 9-degree circle wedge ruler to cut the pieces for the fan. I will bring rulers to cut the fan pieces at the fall roundup. You can use the fan shape to decorate a shirt, sweatshirt, pillow, etc.
